anime bedrooms = vibes

my room is quite simple and efficiently organised. bred on one side with a couch seat aside by the right alongside the window side lined up with books while on the opposite side of the room is my monitor-table dojo with a tv behind for background noise and casual stimulation. nice, concise, and very much like a personal study with an exception in one category: personal decor.

i've been keeping my room design burtalist for the longest time (and probably because i should actually start saving money). my roommates have some decors but when it's mostly led lights or lightsabers or halo-lights, the thought of room embellishment never crossed my mind. i could just do that in stardew valley or animal crossing where the sq. ft can be easily adjusted. until i caught up with my hs fridns (5 yrs since the last time).

two of them - twin brothers - possess two anime-esque roomes extravagantly layered with wallpapers, figurings, and so many other shit that i don't even know what they're called. however, unlike the usual nerdy rooms that feels like storage units for collectibles, they were just like my room. efficiently organised and myabe not as simple. this is the first time i've seen such a room outside of yt videos and i have to admit, the vibes shine strong here.

so what about the figurines? how are they not clusterfucking the room? not as daunting or cramped as i thought despite their rooms probably costing ks worth of anime collectibles. seeing everything in-person allowed me to fully conceptualize what and how i would decorate my room plus understand that it would require a bit mroe tidiness. which is good because motivation for keeping a room tidy is always a plus.

this made me realize, again, how beneficial in-person interactions are. i chronically rely on reddit for everything and while it has been a huge part of my education, there's a missing layer of understanding that can't be acquired without seeing the "real thing". and what could be a major factor in doing anything. that's perhaps why i've been indecisive with certain things and activities. it's time to try out things in-person to see what the fuck i could and want to do. that's what i'm doing for my online creations so it only would make sense to apply this to other things

note here that my shopping spree and rooming efforts should be recorded as written thoughts moving forward.
